Curtain bangs are long, wispy bangs that frame the face in a flattering way. If you’d like to cut your own curtain bangs at home, start by getting a sharp pair of hair cutting shears so you can make precise cuts. Detangle your dry hair with a comb and part it evenly down the middle. Place your comb at the crown of your head and create a sharp, diagonal part from your crown to the arch of your right eyebrow. Secure this right section of hair in place with a small clip, then create a second part from your crown to the arch of your left eyebrow. This creates a triangular section of hair that will form your curtain bangs. Comb the section of hair straight down so it falls directly in front of your face. Then, run the comb through your hair again until you get to your chin and stop. Place your first 2 fingers right underneath the comb and cut the section of hair straight across at chin level. Next, part your bangs down the middle and hold the right half of your bangs between 2 fingers just above the tips of your hair. Keep your fingers parallel to the angle of your right eyebrow angle and use the shears to cut just below your fingers. Do the same thing on the left side, but make this cut to the opposite angle so it’s parallel to the arch of your left eyebrow. To feather your bangs so they blend naturally with the rest of your hair, comb your bangs straight down a final time. Hold your shears vertically and make 4-6 small snips across the bottom of your fringe. Brush out your bangs, style your hair, and enjoy your new look!In this blog post, I’m sharing how to cut my curtain bangs but before I get into it did you know that there are levels to bangs?
